Most manufactures have specific needs to manually move equipment parts or tooling through out a plant. Off-the-shelf cart options are not sufficient so a custom material handling cart is often required. Typical examples include carts built to hold and transport parts or tooling for sanitation purposes. Machines like tablet presses, encapsulators, flow wrappers, rotary scales, counting machines, liquid fillers, and many more get taken apart for daily cleaning. This type of parts handling is commonly overlooked in the production process. Expensive, precisely machined parts can be easily damaged causing unplanned down time while waiting for a replacement.
