Optical Counter

Counting systems are part of packaging automation. Companies often want to count individual pieces into a primary package. For example 20 cookies into a pouch or 100 pouches into a master case. One method is to use a counting scale to count the pieces into a primary package or packages into master pack. These are common needs for manufactures, and RSE has options for a variety of counting systems.

Optical Counter

Manufactures often need to supply master packs of primary packed products. This might be cases containing condiment packages or frac packs of coffee etc. As the primary packages travel down a conveyor they are counted using an optical counter and indexed directly into the case. It is normal for the primary packages to be deposited into a holding bin and then released with the proper count into each master case.
